Learn About Me
The learning experiences in my Science Classroom are designed to help my students grow both in and out of the classroom. I am here to help my students make an impact on the world. I started teaching in 1995 as a 5th grade self-contained teacher. In 2000, I expanded to teach 3rd, 4th and 5th grade science exclusively until 2007 when I graduated from DePaul University with a Masters of Science in Science Education Degree. The following school year, I moved up to teach middle school-6-8th grade science. Although I truly loved my old school, I knew that the opportunity to work at MSW would be a great fit for my family and I. So, I made the move last year- after all my wonderful years at St. Ben's.
I live in the area with my husband, Mark, my father-in-law, Al and my daughter, Tessa, who will be in 2nd grade at MSW. I am an avid gardener and love to can my own home grown tomatoes. This summer was hard, as I had a spinal surgery on my neck and am still recovering a bit. It is working out really well and will be great when completely healed.

Mission Statement
I desire to create an educational atmosphere that students will love being around. My programs are intended to empower students to tackle challenges and take on experiences that may be new to them. At Mrs. Alippo's Science Classroom, we are constantly striving to make learning fun and dynamic so that all of our students can accomplish their goals.
Schoology accounts
Schoology accounts are coming. Â We bought new features this year and are combining many things into schoology that we did not have before. All teachers in grades 4-8 will be using it this year for all their classes. Â This allows students and parents to follow only ONE website for all their classroom needs. Â When schoology is up and running, all will find out and students will receive all the info they need.
